Construye una guarida

Materials: stuffed animal or plastic animal figurine, variety of materials such as a shoebox, newspapers, tape, towels, and so on
- Talk about how bears and other hibernators need a safe, warm place to sleep over the winter. A den is a place where bears are protected from snow and cold winds.
- Provide kids with a variety of open-ended materials, such as those listed above. How might they use these materials to create a den for the animal? Allow children to experiment.
- To help guide children’s building, you might invite them to “check their work” with a small electric fan. If the “wind” is getting in, that means there’s a spot that needs covering up!
